
On Saturday 21 August 2010, the newly chosen mentor group for 2010/11 gathered at the Sanlam Hall at the Neelsie student centre in Stellenbosch. They attended their induction into to the programme, which also included a presentation from The Leonard Leadership group.

On Saturday 24 April, more than 100 learners from schools scattered around the Western Cape arrived at the Stellenbosch Univerisity to be introduced to an educational journey that is sure to shape their future.
These learners, based on their previous achievements and their potential for excellence, were the selected few who would be participating in the next Rachel’s Angels mentorship programme cycle for 2010/11.

During January the streets of Stellenbosch come alive with a buzz of excitement and activities as the first year students arrive in droves to pursue their tertiary dreams. This year the Media 24 Rachel's Angels will be there. The Trust, which operates in the Western Cape in association with the University of Stellenbosch, will be the main sponsor of the Lydia ladies residence and Vesta men's ward for RAG 2010.

On Friday 15 January the Grand West Market Hall came alive in true James Bond style as the Rachel’s Angels Trust hosted a gala ceremony to award all participating schools, mentors and mentees of the programme for their hard work over the 2008/9 period.
The mentorship programme in conjunction with Stellenbosch University aims to provide Grade 11 and 12 learners with the opportunity to broaden their academic horizons as well as empower them with the needed life skills for their journey after school.
During Friday’s function the Best School, Best Mentor and Best Mentee was rewarded for their commitment to the Rachel’s Angels project and the extent to which they had harnessed the ideals of the programme as their own.

On the 25th of July 2009 Rachel's Angels celebrated Rachel's Day at the Van der Stel sports grounds in Stellenbosch with a survivour challenge.
